BBBG broke on top an set an easy first quarter on an uncontested lead. Though speed horses have not fared well on the newly installed ProRide surface at Oaktree. BBBG was quickly engaged by Details R Sketchy and relinquished the lead. At the top of the stretch, BBBG re-took the lead and battled head and head with Charlies Moment and prevailed by a nose.
"WOW!! What a race! What a game colt. I didn't have him fully cranked and there was no way he was fit enough to run that kind of race in 1:08 4/5. He did that all on his own. What a gutsy performance." said trainer Peter Miller
"I have seen a lot of races over the last 60 years and that may have been the best I have ever seen. There was Affirmed and Alydar, Tiznow and Giants Causeway and now to watch this young horse win on courage alone? Now I have seen it all." said race fan Nick Mosich
The Hollywood Preview at 7 furlongs would seem to be the next logical race for this 2 yr old son of by Put It Back, but there are rumblings from ownership to run him in the Delta Jackpot, $750,000 grade 3 race.
